New 2020 Octavia Design

With the Octavia being Skoda’s ‘baby’, it comes with no surprise that the latest model is the result of love, devotion, and a keen eye to stay ahead of the moving times. The new Octavia is offered in hatchback and estate models, and the focus has been on providing extensive levels of technology, security and comfort.

The LED light-laden, ultra-streamlined Octavia also provides the driver and passengers with a premium interior overhaul. The LED lighting provides an interior ambience, while the free-standing central display, virtual cockpit and enhanced driver assist features provide a luxurious experience. Such features mark the fourth gen Octavia as raw, ready and refined; the rebel offspring to the more sensible ancestors.

2020 Octavia’s New vRS PHEV Engine

The Octavia iV combines a 1.4l 4-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor to deliver 200hp. The high-voltage battery provides 13kWh of energy allowing 34 miles of clean, emission-free cruising.

Alternatively, Skoda has announced its very first plug-in hybrid vRS performance model; the Octavia vRS iV. This model has been fitted with a 1.4 TSI petrol engine with an 85-kW electric motor that delivers a combined 242bhp and a max torque of 400Nm. This propels the Octavia from zero to 62 in a mere 7.3 seconds, with an impressive top speed of 139mph. This PHEV provides an emissions-free range of 37 miles.

Meeting Demands For Zero Emissions Driving

The Octavia vRS PHEV model produces CO2 emissions of 30g/km, which means that it automatically complies with the latest EU6d emission standards due in 2021.
